1. Jack of all trades, Master of none. Instead we find experts to work for you.

Real estate is serious business and a home is often a family’s largest investment. We don’t take that lightly. Working in real estate means running your own business and for many agents that means being a jack of all trades. Unfortunately the old adage “jack of all trades, master of none” holds true just as much for REALTORS® as it does for other professionals. That’s why we’re committed to working with other business owners and professionals every step of the way. For you, the buyer, that means more of our time, more of our energy, more of our market knowledge is spent on you. While other agents are out running around taking their own listing photos, or designing their own advertising, we’re right there beside you working to find you a home.

2. Serious business, but let’s have some fun too

There’s a time for work and a time for play. Sometimes you find the right house on the first day and for others it can mean months of searching. When it comes to the professional side of real estate, we’ve got you covered. When it’s time to do up the Buyer’s Market Analysis we dig deep (A lot of agents have never even heard of a BMA). When we’re negotiating on your behalf, we’re dialled in. But hey, after a long day of looking at nothing but uninspired listings, we’re there to cheer you up too (or maybe you could cheer us up?!).

3. Communication is key

Like any healthy relationship, we need to keep the communication lines open. There’s a good chance that we’ll be spending a lot of time together in the coming weeks and months. If things go well, you’ll be asking us to put an offer together on what may be the largest single purchase you’ll ever make. That should be enough reason to ensure that we keep a healthy, honest, and ongoing dialogue. There’s more to it than that though. We’ve been through this process countless times and just like a good general contractor we know who needs to be contacted next, when they need to be contacted, and how it all fits together in the process. It’s our job to help you through all of this so that you’re not left wondering whether or not your lawyer has your paperwork or if you’ve forgotten to get a quote on home insurance. Communication has to go both ways for this relationship to work. We’re always surprised to hear people say “we never heard from our real estate agent”. That won’t happen to us…but we’re not creepy stalkers either.

4. A process custom fit for your needs

We’ve worked with all different types of people and understand that one size really doesn’t fit all. As a matter of fact it really just fits one. Yes, we know the steps we need to take to get you to the end game, and yes they’re repeatable. But we’ve found that everyone takes them at their own pace and with their own gate. Need to buy a house in 30 days and only have 3 days to look? We’ve got you covered. Looking for waterfront property north of Kingston that has to have that certain, perfect feel? We’ll take you there as many times as it takes. Looking for a bullet point summary of the entire process you can install in your excel spreadsheet? Ummmm, I suppose we can give you a hand with that? To be fair though, real estate buying really is a dynamic process…it’s best to be prepared for a few hiccups along the way. Basically, we have a process that works and we’ll custom fit it to your needs. Makes sense right?

5. Your advocate and your link to Kingston’s market place

We’re in this for the long haul. As a matter of fact, we hope you use our services more than once and are so happy with how things went that you refer us to your friends and family. We know that that doesn’t happen without hardwork, expertise, and care. When you work with us, we’re your advocate. We want you to get the right house at the best price. We want to make sure every ‘i’ has been dotted and every  ‘t’ has been crossed. We started off in this business working with friends and family and, to be honest, hope to keep it that way…and last time we checked, people don’t get invited over to BBQ’s when they’re just in it for the pay cheque. Our family may not be growing at a rate that can sustain our business but we think that by looking out for your best interests, providing you with expert advice, and having fun along the way will go a long way to help build lasting, new friendships.
